Introduction
The full name of para-aramid is poly (p-phenylene terephthalamide), which is a kind of aromatic polyamide fiber. The English name is poly-p-phenylene terephthamide, referred to as PPTA, and our country is also called aramid-II or aramid 1414. It is a linear macromolecule composed of amide groups connected to each other in the para-benzene ring, wherein at least 85% of the amide bonds are directly connected between the para-benzene rings.
Features
Para-aramid fiber ultra-high strength, specific strength is 5 to 6 times that of steel wire;
High modulus-tensile modulus is 2-3 times that of steel wire and glass fiber; density is only 1/5 of steel wire;
High temperature resistance, no decomposition and no melting at 560 ℃; Acid and alkali resistance; Density (1.44g/cm³) is 1/5 of steel;
Strong toughness-soft without brittleness, strong impact resistance
It has good flame retardancy, limiting oxygen index above 29, belonging to B1 class flame retardant material.
Chemical resistance-good corrosion resistance and cut resistance
Low thermal conductivity, low temperature coefficient, high dimensional stability, low density
