The full name of para-aramid is poly (p-phenylene terephthalamide), which is a kind of aromatic polyamide fiber. The English name is poly-p-phenylene terephthamide, referred to as PPTA, and our country is also called aramid-II or aramid 1414. It is a linear macromolecule composed of amide groups connected to each other in the para-benzene ring, wherein at least 85% of the amide bonds are directly connected between the para-benzene rings.
High-performance para-aramid paper is a high-performance material prepared by modern papermaking wet papermaking and hot-press molding process, which is based on para-aramid nanofibers and reinforced by short-cut fibers.
Para-aramid nanofibers have a diameter of 10 ~ 100nm and an aspect ratio of about 3000. In addition to high strength and high modulus, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, etc., they have large specific surface area, high surface energy, and good dispersion. Para-aramid resin is generally only used for spinning, and after grinding the para-aramid resin (I. e. para-aramid fine powder) can be used as a special additive because it can provide excellent reinforcement characteristics and control the viscosity of the adhesive under shear stress.
